The Table

Each table will have a stick-man who is in charge of moving the dice to the player and calling out the results of the rolls made. The table layout has a proposition bets (one-roll) section and hard-way bets section. As an example, the hard-way bets would be betting that the number 6 would be rolled with two 3s before a 7 is rolled. There is a 'Pass' line around the table for those players who are betting with the shooter and a 'Don't Pass' line for those betting against the shooter's rolls. In the layout, there are boxes marked 'Come' and 'Don't Come' which work much like the 'Pass' and 'Don't Pass', but are played at different times during the game (after the Point number).

An area marked 'Field' is where players can bet on the numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 which must appear before a 7 is rolled. In the corner of the standard layout, the numbers 'Big 6' and 'Big 8' are marked. These are one-roll bets only.
Game Phases
Each round of craps has two phases; 'Come Out' and 'Point'. A shooter will start each round by rolling 'Come Out' rolls. If during the 'Come Out' phase, the shooter rolls the numbers 2, 3 and 12, also known as 'craps', then the round ends with the 'Pass Line' bets losing. If the come out roll is a 7 or 11, or 'Natural', then 'Pass Line' bets win. The shooter will still roll 'Come Out' rolls until one the following numbers is rolled: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. The number that is rolled first becomes the 'Point'. The dealer will move an 'On' button to the number which signifies the start of phase two.

In phase two, if the point number is rolled again, then bets on the 'Pass Line' win. If a seven is rolled, also known as a Seven-out, then the 'Pass Line' bets lose and the round finishes. The game then repeats with new shooters. If the shooter rolls his Point number, then he restarts his roll at the 'Come Out' stage.
